Thread: iPhone 3GS 8gb mounts but not recognized in Rhythmbox (ubuntu 10.04 lts)

my iphone 3gs mounts not show in rhythmbox. when follow instructions @ http://geeknizer.com/sync-iphone-linux/ , step 2 , installs except libiphone-utils. get....

collin@collin-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install libiphone-utils
[sudo] password collin:
reading package lists... done
building dependency tree
reading state information... done
e: couldn't find package libiphone-utils

through step 3 , step 4 step 5 , step 6 get.....

collin@collin-laptop:~$ $ ifuse /mnt/ipod/
$: command not found
collin@collin-laptop:~$ $ mkdir /mnt/ipod/itunes_control/device/
$: command not found

(sorry i'm not on computers) appreciated!!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
