Thread: Problem after installing Ubuntu updates

i running ubuntu using wubi , everthing had been working fine in regards. however, update manager came , let me know new updates, left them checked , let them install. after complete, rebooted computer , message: "reboot , select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device."

unable load operating system. appears drive ubuntu installed still number 1 in boot order. have searched forums solutions, seems occasional issue, still bit confused. not have windows 7 disc. can offer or suggestions? thank in advance!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
