Thread: Streaming live TV (tvcatchup.com) 'connection closed' issue

total noob linux user here. i'm having problems when streaming live video, problem noticeable when trying use http://www.tvcatchup.com/ (uk believe).

after few minutes of watching, video buffers, , stops saying 'connection closed'. i've tried using different browsers same results. i'm posting here problem unique ubuntu, if boot in xp streams fine hours non-stop.

since don't own actual tv 1 of main annoying problems ubuntu @ moment, appreciated

no 1 has ideas? 1 major issue that's putting me off ubunto @ moment.

happens on both pcs too, both stream find when i'm running xp, if boot in ubuntu can't watch more few minutes of tv before stops :/

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
