Thread: Stuttering ogg-files with ffmpeg2theora ?
hi all,
have been experimenting bit ogg codec familiy lately (vorbis audio , theora video). used ffmpeg2theora (latest version http://v2v.cc/~j/ffmpeg2theora/). in order better feeling performance of theora tried various sources: dvb-t streams 25 fps, 720p hd satellite , copy of pal dvd. while resulting video nice in terms of quality, generated ogg files extremely changing playback speed. few frames in slow-motion , movie seems speed fast-forward speed. tried set output fps using different player (vlc, mplayer). tried play files on different pcs ogg files produces ffmpeg2theora stuttered everywhere. seems issue of encoded files since remuxed theora video (via matroska mux gui) stutters. oggz-tools (namely oggz-validate) not report corruption files itself.
has of experience similar issues ffmpeg2theora ? or should away ffmpeg2theora , use plain ffmpeg ?
tia,
holger
