Thread: Ubuntu doesn't recognize my swap partition

i did work swap, , found out had 2 swap partitions each 4gb, , 1 active.
smart person have deleted inactive one, , resized correct one, folks, not smart person :p
deleted both, , followed ubuntuhelp site setting new swap partition, didn't work. how ubuntu recognise new 8gb swap partition?

have edited /etc/fstab contain new swap?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
