Thread: Why am I getting updates for a program I don't have installed?

hi,
getting updates called "ffmpeg" when type "ffmpeg -help" in terminal says program not installed.
supposed getting updates program though don't have installed?

~ubuntu 10.10 32 bit ~

you may have sort of ffmpeg backend installed. 1 of boxes doesn't have ffmpeg have chromium-codecs-ffmpeg , gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
