DAM not generating thumbnails

hi,

 

when try upload images digital assests interface in cq5.5, uploading file, doesn't generate thumbnail image. tried check crx-quickstart/logs, there nothing logged in there. please me other configurations/logs need check find cause of thumbnail generation problem?

after upload assets dialog closes, have click icon 2 blue arrows refresh right pane. have wait these 2 cq workflows finish processing new asset: "dam update asset" , "dam meta data writeback". while these workflows running see small workflow icon in status column in dam. nice if right pane auto refresh doesn't.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
