I want to lock a field in one place.

i want lock field in place can manipuate new fields without existing fields moving around on page.  when insert new field other fields bumped around , resized.  advice?

we don't have way "lock" fields position not clear on happening you, time things should "resize" when add additional fields existing row , resize fit fields in row, behavior set , can't customized though.  seeing, fields in same row resizing?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
