my dell latitude e6500 screen keeps turning black no reason, can in middle of doing someting , turns black. have shut computer completly down , restart. can tell me in order fix?

i start looking .xsession-errors in home folder , /var/log/xorg.0.log , /var/log/syslog.

graphics card have , graphics drivers using? happen when laptop runs on battery or when plugged in?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
