Thread: Ghosts at startup?

using xubuntu 11.10

have ghost of problem. have experimented various conky setups , settled on couple start @ boot. problem have 2 extra conkys starting on boot. ordinarily, i'd uncheck them in xfce settings session , startup module...except aren't listed there. go /tiger/.config/autostart folder , there no desktop files these "ghosts" there either.

here's gets weird. when entries in task manager, lists them both "conky -c /home/tiger/.conky/conkyleft." why weird? because deleted .conky directory , files in days ago. i've been scratching head trying figure out these "ghosts" coming from...does have idea how stop them autostarting?

probably in sessions cache (~/.cache/sessions). can try prune references out or delete directory reset cache.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
