Thread: grsync- recover backed up files

hello,

dutifully backed home folder in ubuntu onto pen drive using grsync. i'd recover it. choose source pen drive. choose destination home folder. , end folder full of useless executables & text files added home folder.

it's not intuitive that. being dork am, looked grsync manuals on line. found lots of manuals pretty did.

um... can moron out? how executable & text files turn useful data in home folder?

this wouldn't indicate home folder encrypted, it? i've installed & reinstalled ubuntu many times can't remember if encrypted home folder or not.
