Thread: i7 2600 with amd64 installer

i've installed new hard drive ubuntu dual-booting computer windows 7. i've done dual booting before time weird installer starts purple ubuntu screen shows btw downloaded 10.04 lts don't new desktop on 11.0 . after purple screen nothing happens hangs in black screen cd spinning crazy , nothing happening. burnt iso on mac dunno if effects anything.

detailed info on hardware , installation objectives

i7 2600 not k, 8 gb ram,  1,5 tb of hard drive space on 3 drives each 500 gb. 1 drive backup 1 drive windows.  empty 500 gb splitted 250 gb partitions 1 ubuntu 1 random stuff.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
