Thread: The menace of the upgrade cycle

i have 1 point of frustration forum/distro.

other running windows , linux, reason use linux in lieu of windows windows relentlessly forces upgrade part of business plan. (while there apparent cost consideration sys op in favor of linux; illusion, since exceed $100 in lost time , replacing wireless cards/videocards/and printers. neither advantage stability or lightness, since xp light , stable linux (with comparable features). isn't ease of use, obviously. finally, not security, if know bufferzone, etc.)

yet, xp been installed 7 years (zero viruses, no av), , after 2 years, ubuntu breaking down due unsupported repos, , upgrading brick machine due space on harddrive , wireless card support.

current here on forum few help, if need simple clues getting working on 9.10. me ideal os invisible user. no fuss.

old fiddle computers weeks inane stuff programmers should have thought about. did in 80s , 90s. don't me wrong, there lot of stuff ubuntu right, better ms. not enough entice single computer shop in area use ubuntu on windows on new machines. know 1 tried it, customers not ugrade , reinstall sw, , unwilling pay him to.

i don't disagree premise but... forums community, "two-way street" if will. if opinion "the current here on forum few help," think providing others , "become change want see in world."
