Thread: My laptop charging only in standby mode and not when running

hello,
searched through forum postings, not find solution. hope has concrete suggestion fix problem.

environment:
toshiba satellelite p205-6347 laptop, running ubuntu 11.10 (only linux, no dual boot)

problem:
installed ubuntu 11.10 on laptop couple of months , has been working fine. problem started week back. problem is, laptop not charge when laptop running. however, if laptop either shut down, or put standby, charging fine. when not charging, can still see "plugged in" led glows, "charging" led not glow.

when launch "upower" utility, showing status "discharging".

suggestions on problem is, , how fix this? driver not functioning correctly?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
