ok frustrating me. can't audio no matter try. seems ok no audio makes speakers. works fine in windows btw. know mb working fine. see online there sorts of issues alc883. can point me right area resolved. @ wits end. have tried alsa.conf file , tried various model= variables, , none have worked. please me fixed! thanks.

somebody please, frustrated. need sound.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
