Thread: Problems creating launcher for bash script

i have bash script use secure delete trash. here code

#!/bin/bash /usr/bin/srm -lrvz $home/.local/share/trash/* | zenity --auto-close --auto-kill --progress --width 350 --text "securely emptying trash - please patient." --title "securely erasing files"

my os ubuntu 11.10 , tried creating launcher bash script using method:

gnome-desktop-item-edit ~/desktop/ --create-new

it nothing.

when run srm command above command line, scripts works , zenity popup. i'm waiting finish can see if terminates properly. i'm kind of n00b bash scripting assistance appreciated.
