Thread: RSS feed screensaver

i have ancient, large crt monitor. so, need screensaver nothing burned screen. i'm pretty sure possible because i've seen happen many monitors made more one.

so, setup lubuntu use "phosphor" screensaver (i needed install part of package of many screensavers).

configuration screen , screensaver looks similar this, except kde used instead of lubuntu (lxde):


decided alter settings use local weather rss feed text displays. major problem displays lot of unnecessary , irrelevant text on rss feed page.

questions are:

1. how can setup screensaver- screensaver- not display text i'd leave out?

2. there other, possibly more attractive screensavers phosphor can configured use rss feed?

3. there way display multiple rss feeds sequentially in screensaver?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
