Thread: Ubuntu Live no internet connection

i've booted usb ubuntu , started ubuntu live there's no internet connection. suspecting problem might i've changed mac address on windows , gets reset every time load ubuntu. should ? register actual mac address isp or change in ubuntu again ?

are directly connected cable modem? if so, may need either totally power down modem few minutes if not have reset button, or clone mac address used. other type of connection mac address should not matter, long has non-zero mac not conflict else. have never changed mac, looks ifconfig may able that.

sure proper or best module being used network device? following should give info network device , module using now:

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
