LiveCycle Designer 8.2 documents in Adobe Reader Mac

i work on web app uses livecycle designer 8.2 , itextsharp 4.1.6 (which c# version of itext, use create pdfs xfa forms created livecycle designer) create dynamic documents.  users fill out documents , post data web app.  way we're presenting stuff each section of document has own link within app, when click edit link should bring right section of document , can fill out , save data server.

 

this works great on of major windows browsers - ie8 , later, firefox, chrome.  have configure latter 2 use adobe reader plugin rather built-in plugin, once it's great.  true of both 10.1.6 , 11.0.02.

 

on mac we're having problems.  know firefox not supported @ all, issue here limited testing latest version of safari 6 on mountain lion. issues deal data not posting , saving (usually doesn't on first try, going page , re-doing changes , submitting again , it's good).  also, edit links take page on instead of right page.  again, clicking link second time works correctly.  and, on windows, results/behavior identical between 10.1.6 , 11.0.02. 

 

now realize we're dealing older versions of both livecycle designer , itextsharp, these documents worked.  kind of things can useful in figuring out wrong?  suggestions welcome.

are checking on mac reader opening files , not preview?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
