Photomerge with 125 RAW photos, 16 megapixel images, Help Needed

i have 125 raw photos 4912*3264 pixels  trying photomerge them using cylindrical setting.  , not working.  have let go 12 hours , nothing happing. windows task manager flashes "photoshop not resonding" goes away , , repeats...  processor peaks out @ 15% after images load , starts process.

 

 

 

i tried going preferences , messed ram allocation etc , other settings.

using latest ps version

 

i using cs6

windows 8 x64

intel core i7 920

18 gig of ram

main drive windows

raid casch

disk images

nvidia gtx 560 hd

 

 

any suggestions?

i don't know never tried quite many images photomerge.

 

have tried reducing pixel dimensions of photos , saving them tif files?

 

how scratch disk space have photoshop?

 

your using 64 bit version of photoshop cs6?
