i know isn't technically ubuntu question need help.i got new ram , tried install in custom pc, didn't work , put old ram in. won't boot anymore

check it's in correctly
make sure it's slotted down , clips retaining it

can assume did take anti-static precautions in process ?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
