Thread: Dragging URL's causes Unity to briefly lag

sorry if posted in wrong place.

i'm using firefox browser , useful drag url on page either address bar or search box. whenever drag url's unity launcher appear @ side of screen of icons darkened. gather show icons drag url on launcher.

though useful feature problem me causes causes slight lag whilst system brings unity launcher etc, pain when want drag url within firefox (because url can't 'dropped' until unity has sorted out, , seems silly have wait can second or two) . there anyway can disable feature of unity doesn't take notice of url dragging?

time if able help, sorry if somewhere else (i did search) or bit of silly question

edit add: i'm using ubuntu 11.10

sure know but...you can highlight url , choose copy , paste url search bar etc.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
