Thread: Help with ubuntu as router

hi new forum.

have problem setting ubuntu router. have followed guide https://help.ubuntu.com/community/router

have completed steps in guide (including dhcp setup) last thing did restart network interface. (sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart) when use command error message "rtnetlink answers no such prosess" on 1 of network cards. other works fine. when try connect machine no ip-adress. think there might wrong nat.sh script, copied , pasted code don't know sure.

appreciate

i see no reason use ubuntu router. can install special linux that. openwrt, instance.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
