Thread: Login screen is the same as 11.04

recently, downloaded kde environment, see how was, , after few days, decided wasn't unity.

so, removed download download centre, rid of main packages synaptic manager (which, in turn, broke kde packages run mains), removed of broken files.

however, still left few... hitches:

1.) grub screen still blue colour, opposed purple. (i blue more, really, cannot complain)

2.) load-up screen still reads, "kubuntu". (again, don't care)

3.) login screen of 11.04, , running 11.10. more strange, that, simple lightdm manager, can't simplest thing, say: change background.

i can't tell if it's lightdm without unity-greeter or gdm, can't help.
can boot splash. uninstall kubuntu-plymouth-theme (or similar) , reinstall 1 ubuntu in it's name.
