Thread: Start again fresh

hi there,

i'm back. after year plus time away, friend returned ubuntu computer me. i'll aiming use in church put song words on large screen via data projector, , perhaps use supplementary computer in house kids. it's old, etc, works , have fond memories of flailing way through years of ubuntu use... ah, memories! (or should say, "agh!!!1!!one! memories!")

anyhoo, because friend using beast primary laptop ages , ages, it's got lot of junk on have no need of. there way wipe slate clean , start again, within os? it's running 11.04, , doing fine. don't have discs it, neither have large quota downloading (i'm hijacking friend's connection type this...).

in advance help!

wanna keep old 1 , wanna run both ? or run fresh 1 ?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
