Why can't I open epub file?

hello everyone,

 

i have problem , unsure why it's happening.  have found if try , open newly downloaded epub file cannot open ade 2.0 unless modify mimetype file application/epub+zip application/epub.

 

what gives?  ideas?

which os using?  mimetype being defined?

 

.epub files zip encoded.  ???maybe whatever interpreting application/epub+zip sees zip part of memitype , unzips it, tries process result (which complete directory) epub???

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
