XML Exporting and Importing

when export , import indesign file, character styles inside paragraph styles not closing correctly. xml code looks correct doesn't resolve expected.

i uncertain doing--how preparing exporting xml. uncertain doing import. if tag export, including character styles, upon import can map tags styles. doing?

 

perhaps know wanting accomplish exporting xml , reimport.

 

please note may off-line most/all day responding me might delayed.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
