.m2v files not working in Encore CS6

when import .m2v files timeline, of them (only in video track) not showing. tried open them on other programs, windows media player, , won't open too. but... when tried work these files in computer , version of encore (mine 1 comes in cs6 master collection), seemed work fine, , finish dvd authoring. problem?

sounds codec issue - present on 1 computer, not other.

 

in "bad" computer, encore activated, right?

can play 1 of m2v files encore library? example, on pc, c:\program files\adobe\adobe encore cs6\library\entertainment\ntsc\ntsc_nightlife.m2v

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
