Making sound equalizer

hi guys, im interested in making sound equalizer... purpose of equalizer is  adjust bass, high end, mid range, etc...

 

can give real working example in actionscript? found code didnt work. m using flash builder 4.5......

creating dynamic equalizer difficult but, doable using as3.  don't think it's doable using as2.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
