Thread: 'Suspend' and 'Sleep' not working

i got ubuntu 11.10 on computer , 'suspend' feature , 'sleep' features don't work. worked on w7 fine, however. when close lid of laptop not hibernate. goes dark blue screen , won't come out of it, if press keys 'wake up'. if keep on little bit, when should go screensaver w7 goes same dark blue screen. i'm not sure what's wrong it. in advance

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
