Thread: can't connect to the server from some parts of the internal network


hi, have scenario @ work:

section 1:
-1 server , 5 pcs connected same network switch (swicth 1)
-these 5 pcs can connect server without problem, response time good.

section 2:
-6 pcs connected network switch (switch 2), switch 2 connected switch 1 using utp cable 25 mts of length.

problem:
6 pcs connected in switch 2 can't connect server, when can't connect mean use web browser , type:

http://ipserver/mysystem

error gotten is:
110 connection timed out

system coded using lamp.

server ubuntu server 11.04

i'm connected network switch 2, have tried connect server via ssh , works, can ping server , works, ttl gotten seems ok (1 ms).

questions are:
1. why can't connect switch 2 server via web browser? (http://10.10.1.3/mysystem)

2. commands should use check connectivity via port 80?

3. problem networking issue? maybe switch can't map ip in switch 1?

4. suggestions?

what's ip address, masks, server , 1 of pc's can't connect server?
in microsoft

ipconfig /all
in mighty linux
code:
ifconfig


tests can do:

pc:

ping server
code:
ping 10.10.1.3
telnet http port
code:
telnet 10.10.1.3 80
ping other pc in switch2
ping other pc in switch1

server:
ping 1 pc in switch2
