how stop xserver or lightdm loading in ubuntu 11.10. planning on making computer server, wouldn't need it. info can't find /etc/inittab in ubuntu. read in unix class contains run levels can edit

ubuntu 10.10 , above use upstart control runlevels, , not system v type init scripts studying.

have check in "/etc/init" directory correct script disable in order stop lightdm loading. not know script correct lightdm, gnome, should @ /etc/init/gdm.conf.

not sure: since upstart allows userspace controlling of init, can disable command similar
code:
sudo service gdm disable
