Thread: Oneiric Rhytmbox choppy playback

i have couple of hours researching problem, haven't found concrete information around i'm turning forums.

after trouble partitions, yesterday able install oneiric oncelot on 2009 dell inspiron 1525. installation on separate partition, home directory has been inherited several ubuntu versions.

current problem choppy playback in rhythmbox. load application @ startup , time open app chromium, music stops , repeats couple of seconds of audio old scratched disc.

looking through system log, got these creepy messages:

maybe here can give me advice on how proceed in matter?

i managed solve issue enabling "crossfade between tracks" in preferences / playback menu. did trick.
