Thread: Random Typing Lag in ubuntu

this happens me frequently, , randomly.

@ point in being logged in, no matter type, ubuntu freezes 2 seconds resumes. if don't type extremely slow of letters not processed.

example, problem happening now, going retype sentence @ usual pace.

there's eve delay on turning caps lock on/off. doesn't happen on windows 7 partition. problem fixes when restart computer there no predicting when comes back.

feel may linked frequent audio/video lag in videos on internet or have download, video play on 3-4 second 'spurts' of audio repeat 4 times second delays, making video unhearable. issue fixed restarting computer, comes rather frequently. both of these issues occur multiple times aday.

using ubuntu 10.10

running 10.10 x64 on 64 bit processor, quad core, 6 gigs of ram , 1024mb dedicated graphics card...

operating prowess never uses more 2gigs of ram, , lag can happen time... if have 1 window open. once starts doesn't stop until restart... , never happens in day, happens frequently... random.
