Thread: Switching from a wireless to a wired connection while downloading a file

what expect happen if plugged in ethernet cable while downloading file via wifi?

when tried on ubuntu 10.04 download stopped, though ethernet connection subsequently behaved normally. under osx, download continued uninterrupted.

i'm not sure whether intended behavior under linux, or bug in network setup?

(hardware & os details: broadcom bcm4328 network card proprietary driver. macbook 4.1. ubuntu 10.04 64-bit)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
