Thread: WiFi does not reconnect after suspend

hi

having problem laptop fails reconnect wireless network after suspend mode. after waking computer suspend mode wifi icon animating trying reconnect. after while card disabled, or appears still enabled not find network. have several other wireless devices connected network without problems, including laptop, iphone , ipad.

system:

• laptop: asus u45jc

• network controller: atheros ar9285

• ubuntu 10.04 lts lucid lynx

network:

• linksys wrt54gl (with dd-wrt firmware on channel 1)

• linksys e4200 (in bridge mode original firmware on channel 11 on 2.4 ghz)

have tried far:
after reading googling have tried run commands:

• sudo modprobe -rf ath9k

• sudo /etc/init.d/networking start

i have tried fix whole weekend, without luck. can provide more information can guys me?

somehow related suspend mode , had trouble getting laptop entering suspend mode when first installed ubuntu. of blogpost manage fix problem , suspend mode worked fine. beginning noticed wireless network unstable, of time worked fine. network fails reconnect being waked suspend mode. i'm not sure if network card start @ suspend mode because wireless led on front of laptop doesn't light up.

apriciate if me debugging problem, because have laptop can't suspend.
