Vectors fuzzy when scaled down?

hello.

i'm hoping can confirm me.

 

i made logo in vector form. have given client has sent off printer.

the printer telling client becomes "fuzzy" when scaled down.

the fonts have been converted outlines.

 

i'm no expert in print design, possible? shouldn't printer able scale down vector no issues @ all? there missing here?

it depends on few things.  have set color rich black?  over-print?  there strokes applied text?  document's raster resolution set to?  has person viewing file known kick few night before?  kidding aside, outlined text appear fuzzy reduced down in size.  preview artifact , has nothing how file appear in output...if has been setup properly.  has step , remember looking @ monitor, not actual hard copy proof.  print vendor know difference , not bother unless fuzziness shows on hard copy, prepress proof.  that's time discuss problem.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
