Maintaining aspect ratio when transforming

since have upgraded cs6 i've noticed when transforming object not maintain aspect ratio when holding shift while transforming. have each time check link button (maintain aspect ratio)

it's seems work here on photoshop cs6 13.01.1 on windows 7 x64.

 

does happen on try transform or documents or layer types?

 

what operating system using?

 

have installed latest updates going help>updates within photoshop cs6?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
