Thread: ASM1061 SATA3 6Gbps controller drivers needed?

hi all,

have shuttle sx58h7 pro pc, sdd , hdd connected via asm1061 sata3 controller @ 6gbps.

problem both drives not found when installing ubuntu 10.04.3 or 11.10 64 bit.

need install drivers?
if so, how?

your motherboard's bios should detect drives plugged card other drive, allow install ubu drive.

if ubu not detecting drives plugged card, it's not driver issue, it's mobo.

(i have same card , ubu sees ssd drive fine no added driver.)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
