Thread: Laptop turns itself on for no reason

hello!
have toshiba z830, , since installed ubuntu laptop turns on 10 minutes after shut down.

have noticed:
if shut down improperly holding shutdown button, there's no problem, , remains shut. it's shutting down in conventional ways brings problem (via shell or gnome).

i've done:
have checked bios settings

plus, didnt have problem when ran windows, that's why dont think bios problem

in advance!

noticed turns on 5 minutes after shutdown.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
