Thread: Photorec File Recovery Cannot Boot 11.10

tried recover deleted music files. system has gone haywire. not enough space boot apparently. can boot off cd , see files can't life of me thing boot off hard drive. reinstalled system on top of current system same result. when boot bios screen, ubuntu logo , stops @ system checks. not lock up. has flashing cursor.

if can still see files when running live cd, copy them on external storage. there no need use photorec, boot hdd or reinstall anything.

i'd advise looking @ when disk utility has state of hdd. hard drive may dead or dying.
