Thread: please help me find touchpad driver

hi there guys,
need help. few days ago touchpad has stopped working after update in latest ubuntu. working in win7 (dual boot) know not hardware fault. pal @ work says probaly driver issue. ok today went , brought mouse , have been trying fix this. in way on head, im total noob when comes linux. please please please give me step step instructions on how find , update touchpad driver . running hp pavillion dv7 ( http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/hp_pavilion_dv7-1080 ). im dual booting latest ubuntu , win 7.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
