Thread: Ubuntu 11.10 No Desktop.

hello,

i've upgraded ubuntu v11.10.. went ok during upgrade. once restart computer, don't desktop anymore. see blackscreen few messages such as:
starting bluetooth: [ok]
starting webserver apache [ok]
enabling xxxxxxx.. [ok]
etc..

can login via ssh , network.

how re-active, enable or install desktop again? happened?

what hardware specifications, graphics card? try add nomodeset grub kernel boot parameters , see if helps.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
