Ungrouping an imported pdf into Illustrator

is there way ungroup elements of imported pdf in illustrator 6? have change settings in adobe acrobat first allow elements import individually rather group? thank you.

you should able ctrl/cmd+shift+g ungroup once in illy. if there clipping mask or blocking way, may release that. can see in layers palette.

the 1 1996 or newer 1 called cs6/16?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
