Data + Video = 1DVD

hi have family christmas , new year video waiting burned dvd. made photo slideshow section on it.

 

however want photos put on data folder using 1 dvd. want make dvd play dvd player, , if want use picture slideshow can pop disc computer , use photo. know possible don't know how.

you need create disc rom content work, because make disc video playable on set top type player needs multiplexed & authored vob files.

accessing single images can done fromn photo data need author video file regular dvd-video, , add photos slideshow within dvd - add photos rom folder, make them accessible on computer.

to this, build dvd in usual manner (you using encore, right?) , create movie timeline & slideshow timeline in regular way. once happy way works (and test it, not waste time previewing instead either burn rw disc, or if need use dual layer disc, compile project dvd folder & check in software player.

once good, go encore & add photos again rom content. lose slideshow functionality, not matter much. prepare rom folder, copy images want use own folder, , name remember. then, when aere ready build disc, add folder rom content.

 

accessing these images can done off regular set top dvd player - support photo viewing these days (check player manual specifics , how access) , better yet, players play them kind of slideshow if needs be, or advancing manually. best of can of course access photos straight off dvd in computer, , can browse them - appear under name have when put them in folder. need way because dvd-video disc contains vob files , noit separate images (even when make slideshow becomes vob ion dvd)

it means duplicating content - unless okay idea of not having background music or having photos content, accessible different set of buttons on player - if okay can leave out slideshow in dvd-video, ponly adding rom content - still accessible 99% of dvd players.
