Please help. Photoshop isn't displaying colors correctly after new monitor/calibration

when open jpegs or raw images in photoshop have dull, flat color them.  happening after buying new pa271w wide-gamut display , calibrating using spectraview 2.  doesn't matter whether have working space in ps set adobe rgb or srgb under color settings... way can make image normal go under settings , assign profile adobe rgb.  looks fine then.  live that, except bigger problem begin editing process in raw, colors looking flat.  best can tell, there no way assign profile @ stage... , don't know if help.

i've been working in photoshop many years , know raw images have 'flatter' appearance being with, different.  example, when slide photoshop onto other monitor next (i have multiple monitors) - color reverts normal color want .  , if slide photoshop onto new nec monitor, normal color stays intact 2 seconds, reverts dull color.  unable begin work process in raw since colors wrong.  also, know new monitor capbable of displaying images in proper colors because when use of several different image viewers have - irfanview, etc. - fine.  it's in photoshop.  appreciated.  thanks, chance.  oh, , have cs5 , i'm using windows 7.

what you're describing sounds display profile incorrect.

don't mess working space, don't assign profiles -- fix display profile.
