Post and reaction count - half-successful hiding

purchased wordpress theme , after installing decided tweak little bit. although i'm figuring out things myself, i've been unsuccessful in hiding post , reaction count front page , category archives. half-successful, exact: after page loads, counters appear second , disappear (i hid them css). i've messaged theme author , posted on wordpress forums, it's been 3 days i'm trying out luck here. lot in advance.

stuff controlled in admin panel under theme options.  if theme has no such options, might suitable plugin or use different theme.

the arras theme pretty good.  i've used quite few times.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
