Problems with guides

when start new composition in photoshop cs6, can choose preset of "film & video" use "ntsc dv widescreen" size.  when go view > show > guides, can select , guides popup in accordance safe areas of dvd widescreen menu.

 

but if open image 4:3, change pixel aspect ratio widescreen, option guides greyed out.  there anyway add default guides used ntsc dv widescreen compositions image open?

do still have "rulers" turned on? if comand+ on mac control+ on pc should bring guides back.

you setup action put guides in automaticlly. if have lot of things guides new>film/video while guides there make 1px line ever there guide safe zone. each on own layer lock layers save file, have template guides can't move. it's work setup once there golden. don't forget turn off guides group/layers before saving.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
