scout is not working in every condition

scout not working in every browser or air app on pc.

i had tried , still not working.

and noticed everytime start scout create .telemetry.cfg under "$user$\appdata\local\google\chrome\user data\default\pepper data\shockwave flash\userhome", after uninstall google chrome, weired.

i assume you're running windows, in case might running issue path flash player using configuration file (.telemetry.cfg). flash player changed path uses under %homedrive%%homepath%, under %userprofile%, , scout 1.0 doesn't know (it'll fixed in scout 1.1, coming soon).

 

please check whether these environment variables point same place (you can copy them address bar of explorer, , see takes to). if don't point same place, you'll have manually create hard link it:

 

1) open command line (cmd.exe) - you'll need admin permissions, open ctrl-shift-enter

2) run following command:

 

mklink /h %userprofile%\.telemetry.cfg %homedrive%%homepath%\.telemetry.cfg

 

if isn't problem, make sure you've followed steps in faq of getting started guide: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/scout/articles/adobe-scout-getting-started.html

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
