Thread: Beating a dead horse: ecrypted drive mount at login

i have encrypted partition use backups.

originally, drive usb connected sata.

before, drive usually available after login, since changing sata (and changing drive's name sde sda) never mounted @ login, despite password being stored.

mount drive, i have open nautilus , click on once.

it's not lot of work, it's tedious , easy forget.

if forget, deja-dup fail make backups drive doesn't exist.

there must simple way make drive available @ login. (ie not installing new sofware packages, writing new shell script, or full reinstall of ubuntu)

interested know if, in undocumented configuration file, have change "/dev/sde" "/dev/sda" or if there larger issues here.

you mount through /etc/fstab.
